The Youth Worker position emphasizes relationship-based interventions and requires a diploma in a related field. With at least a year of experience in a shelter setting, you'll create case plans, facilitate referrals, and document client records diligently. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide supervision and care to shelter residents • Document client interactions accurately in SMIS • Assist in developing tailored case management plans • Implement beneficial group programs for residents • Support daily operational tasks within the shelter
Requirements: • Diploma or degree in relevant disciplines • One year experience with homeless or at-risk youth • Understanding of homelessness and community resources • Valid First Aid/CPR and UMAB certifications • Attend required training sessions on crisis intervention
