As a vital part of the Mental Health - PACT department, you will leverage your lived experiences to guide clients in their recovery journey. You’ll engage with clients, facilitating mutual support and problem-solving sessions to encourage self-determination and coping strategies. Collaboration with a diverse team enhances client care and community engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide essential expertise and consultation to team members
• Encourage community integration and client empowerment
• Mentor clients in recovery and treatment decisions
• Advocate for client resources and support programs
• Maintain a full caseload as per ACT guidelines
Requirements:
• Lived experience of mental illness or addiction
• Successful completion of Peer Support Training Program
• Minimum one year of peer support experience
• Excellent communication and mentoring skills
• Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
