Join the Ministry of Children and Family Services as a full-time Family Court Coordinator in Grande Prairie. Focus on child intervention cases, utilizing solid communication and critical thinking skills.
In this role, you will prepare and present family court cases while supporting child intervention initiatives. Your responsibilities include gathering and organizing legal documents, consulting with practitioners, and representing the Ministry in court. You will also track statistics related to court actions and provide training for regional staff.
Key Responsibilities:
• Gather documentation for family intervention case presentations
• Support dispute resolution processes, including mediation
• Liaise with Child Intervention Practitioners for evidence preparation
• Present cases during Family Docket Court
• Maintain written procedures related to court practices
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related field plus 2 years experience
• Familiarity with child protection programs
• Strong analytical and decision-making abilities
• Must hold a Class 5 Driver’s License
• Registration with the Alberta College of Social Workers
