Clarence Fulton Secondary School is seeking a Temporary Social Studies Teacher for Semester 1, starting September 8, 2026. Teach Social Studies 9 and enrich student learning in a supportive environment.
This contract role covers Block D until January 31, 2027. Qualified candidates with Indigenous ancestry will be prioritized. You will need a valid BC Teaching Certificate and a Bachelor of Education with qualifications in Social Studies. This position aims to foster an engaging and culturally responsive classroom.
Key Responsibilities:
• Teach Social Studies 9 curriculum effectively
• Utilize a variety of assessment techniques
• Collaborate with staff in a team-oriented environment
• Implement inclusive and differentiated instructional strategies
• Maintain effective classroom management practices
Requirements:
• BC Teaching Certificate holder with eligibility for a Teachers Qualification Card
• Bachelor's degree in Education with a relevant subject focus
• Proven experience in teaching Social Studies
• Familiarity with technology integration in education
• Solid interpersonal and communication skills
