What would my role be?
Reporting to the Manager, Patient Food Services, you will be responsible for overseeing staff and ensuring the effective operation and quality of food production, distribution services, and dishwashing activities.
Tasks include, but are not limited to:
Coordinating inventory verification
Preparing orders and supervising storage
Ensuring the quality and proper use of produce by applying appropriate work methods for production and distribution of meals and nourishments
Participating in the development of cyclical menus and recipes
Planning and coordinating preparation of catering events
Participating in reviewing work routines of supervised staff
Evaluating the performance of the employees and determining development needs
Applying preventive work habits, for occupational health and safety as well as for correcting potentially dangerous situations
Required :
Two (2)
years Community College Diploma in Food and Nutrition Management
Minimum of one (1) year of experience in Food Service and Nutrition at supervisory level
Membership in CSNM (Canadian Society of Nutrition Management) – National association
Membership in OFSSA (Ontario Society of Nutrition Management) – Provincial association
Valid certificate of registration as Dietitian from College of Dieticians of Ontario
Fluent in French and English
Preferred :
Experience in a unionized environment
Diet Technician experience considered
