Provide positive and courteous service to customers
Process cash and debit/credit transactions accurately according to policies and procedures
Perform opening and closing procedures, including POS terminals and tills
Maintain a neat, clean, and fully stocked sales floor and tidy product displays
Rotate stock according to schedule or supervisor direction
Implement store layout plans, window displays, and merchandise displays
Work with assigned volunteers and prepare their workstations
Receive, sort, store, and price donations
Unload, sort, pack, store, bale, and reload donated items
Lift and relocate bags and boxes; perform heavy lifting as required
Climb ladders and store seasonal products in overhead storage bins
Separate and process recycling and garbage, including loading material into trucks for removal
Meet daily targets and count, weigh, and record incoming and outgoing donations
Maintain cleanliness, safety, and functionality of the warehouse and property
Share janitorial duties in common spaces such as washrooms and kitchens
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
Completed Public School
Up to three months of prior related experience, including warehouse receiving/processing/distribution of goods and customer service
Must be able to lift 30 lbs
Frequently stand for long periods, twist, bend, crouch, reach overhead, pull, push, kneel, and lift up to 25 pounds
Knowledge of lifting guidelines is an asset
Attention to detail, problem solving and analytical skills
Strong sense of integrity and confidentiality with professional ethics and a balanced sense of fairness and flexibility
May be required prior to hiring to provide background check consent
May be required prior to hiring to provide a transparent vulnerable sector screening
May be required prior to hiring to provide a clean driver's abstract
