Join YWCA as a Youth Support Worker and help young individuals thrive through mentorship and life skill development. This part-time role is crucial for guiding youth toward self-sufficiency.
This position guarantees 20 hours of work each week, providing essential support to youth through personalized mentorship and crisis intervention. You'll aid them in building skills and confidence while ensuring a protected and nurturing home atmosphere. This role is key to fostering independence among youth at risk.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support youth in gaining personal responsibility and independence
• Deliver mentorship and crisis management assistance
• Aid in employment preparation, including job searches
• Maintain household and meal routines for youth
• Plan and execute engaging educational activities
Requirements:
• Experience in human services or relevant discipline
• Strong appreciation for diversity and Indigenous cultures
• Proficient in communication and organization
• Valid Saskatchewan Class 5 Driver's License
• Completion of Criminal and Vulnerable Sector Checks
