Support vulnerable Winnipeg residents as an Outreach Support Worker in Main Street Project's Van Outreach Program. This casual position plays a crucial role in delivering essential services to those in need year-round.
In this role, you will work directly with community members to ensure they receive critical support, from shelter and food to advocacy for health services. You'll be part of a dedicated team focused on harm reduction and promoting self-sufficiency among individuals facing homelessness. This position isn't just a job; it's an chance to enact real change in the lives of the city's most marginalized residents.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess and meet the immediate needs of the community
• Drive Outreach Vans for transportation to services




• Conduct wellness checks at encampments
• Assist participants with planning and problem-solving
• Log incidents and maintain accurate records
Requirements:
• Relevant background in human services or outreach work
• Valid Class 5 driver's license required
• Certifications in CPR and First Aid must be current
• Able to handle physically demanding work
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
