Transaction Processing Administrator
Location: Bedford/Halifax, NS - (Onsite)
Pay Rate: $25.47/hr
Contract Length: 6 Months with possibility for extension
We at Raise are hiring a Transaction Processing Administrator for one of our top clients. After establishing themselves as an industry leader, they’re now expanding their team to meet rising demand.
Responsibilities: Pre-screen, prepare and input all financial and various non-financial transactions by standard cut off times.Includes but is not limited to: account set-up; address changes, investor changes, redemptions, purchases, switches, non-complex NIGOs, direct trade and wire order placement and settlement
Monitor and explicit Workflow/Capture items within Service Level Agreements(SLA)
Apply all quality control procedures
Reconciliation and settlement of daily trades
Daily deposits and cheque processes
Message all accounts where unusual actions have occurred
Audit Transactions, question procedures, suggest improvements to processes and give accurate feedback to team members to help reduce errors and ensure a high accuracy rate
Communicate effectively with both internal and external client groups
Work with Manager to update Desk Operating Procedures and other tasks as assigned.
Strong technical and analytical skills in running/debugging various applications and macros.
Key Relationships - Regional & Enterprise Wide Other Shareholder Services departments (Customer Contact Centre, Dealer Relations, Investigations, Reporting and Tax, Special Operations etc)

Must-have Skills: 1+ year of Mutual Fund Administration experience (Understanding of Canadian registered funds)
Ability to work in a high-pressure environment
Advanced Excel skills
Accuracy and attention to detail are of upmost importance.
Fast learner / adaptable
Responsible for quality of processing / client experience for assigned client groups
Positive impact through effective management of workflow and support of team
Effective resolution of escalated client or process issues
Participate in client–specific process reviews and improvements, generally as assigned by Manager or Senior Manager
Nice-to-Have Skills: Good working knowledge / experience in the financial services industry, specifically in Mutual fund and segregated fund administration
Sound knowledge of Mutual Fund and Segregated Fund taxation and compliance/regulation – including Registered Products
Proven track record in leading initiatives, managing cross-functional relationships
Completion of IFIC Mutual Funds Operations Course
Unitrax Recordkeeping System knowledge
FundSERV knowledge
Ability to read/write French is an asset
