As a Youth Support Worker at Covenant House Vancouver, you will provide crucial assistance to youth aged 16-24 in a residential stabilization program. Your role will center on creating a trauma-informed space that encourages growth, resilience, and improved emotional well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
• Greet and assist youth upon entry to services
• Develop meaningful relationships with at-risk youth
• Provide crisis intervention and administer first aid
• Maintain documentation and incident reports
• Organize recreational activities for youth
Requirements:
• Diploma or degree in a related field
• Minimum one year in relevant harm reduction settings
• Understanding of the issues related to youth homelessness
• Familiarity with Indigenous Cultural Safety principles
• First Aid certification is a plus
