As part of the Healthy Communities team, the Public Health Dental Hygienist focuses on improving oral health outcomes for children. You will implement fluoride varnish programs, build partnerships, and advocate for oral health policies. Your role is crucial in addressing local population health needs and ensuring equitable access to oral health initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead oral health initiatives in identified communities
• Collaborate with schools and childcare facilities
• Develop and evaluate oral health programs and policies
• Conduct community assessments and analyses
• Foster strategic partnerships to promote health equity
Requirements:
• Diploma in Dental Hygiene; Bachelor’s preferred
• Licensed with RDH or DH designation
• Experience in program planning and evaluation
• Demonstrated proficiency in public health competencies
• First Aid/CPR Certification required
