Join Seabird Island as a Recovery Home Support Worker, dedicated to supporting Indigenous clients through compassionate care and community involvement. This position focuses on crisis intervention and daily living assistance while maintaining a culturally protected environment.

This term-based role runs Monday to Friday from 4:00 pm to 12:00 am, offering the chance to assist individuals battling mental health and addiction issues. You will provide coping strategies, community resource connections, and guidance in daily responsibilities. Building relationships will be key as you encourage participation in social and recreational activities.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with crisis support under supervisor’s guidance
• Maintain professional integrity and boundaries




• Regularly chart client progress in database
• Provide support with household duties and medical appointments
• Teach life skills in a residential environment

Requirements:
• Minimum 2 years experience with Indigenous communities
• Relevant education in health care or social services
• Food Safe Level 1 certification
• First Aid and Mental Health First Aid certified
• Class 5 driver’s license for transport duties
