This part time position involves working 45 hours bi-weekly from 11:00 PM to 8:00 AM, focusing on overnight support for female-identified and gender-fluid youth aged 14-18. You'll maintain therapeutic relationships and assist youth in crisis, utilizing equity-based practices to foster a safe environment. Collaboration with care teams and crisis intervention are essential aspects of this role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct therapeutic check-ins and welfare assessments overnight
• Oversee bedtime routines and hygiene tasks for youth
• Manage medication administration and record keeping
• Facilitate low-intensity therapeutic activities
• Document incidents and assist in crisis responses
Requirements:
• Minimum 1 year in a residential care setting
• Diploma in Child and Youth Work or equivalent
• Experience with youth facing complex mental health challenges
• Ability to implement therapeutic routines effectively
• First aid and crisis intervention training preferred
