Our Compliance Analyst Internship provides hands-on experience supporting the team responsible for helping Manulife operate with integrity and in accordance with regulatory requirements. This opportunity is ideal for students interested in compliance, risk management, governance, business operations, and regulatory affairs. Working alongside experienced compliance professionals, you'll contribute to projects that enhance processes, support digital transformation initiatives, conduct research, and help maintain policies and procedures that support business objectives. Through meaningful project work and collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders, you'll gain valuable exposure to the financial services industry while developing analytical, problem-solving, and professional skills that can support a future career in compliance, risk, or business operations.
Position Responsibilities Support projects focused on improving efficiency and effectiveness through the implementation and adoption of technology and digital solutions.
Assist the Compliance team with day-to-day operational activities and ongoing business initiatives.
Conduct research on regulatory, business, and legal requirements to support compliance-related projects and decision-making.
Help develop, update, and maintain compliance guidelines, policies, procedures, and documentation.
Analyze information and summarize findings to support business objectives and compliance initiatives.
Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to gather information and support project delivery.
Assist with process improvement initiatives and contribute ideas that enhance operational efficiency.
Support special projects and other compliance-related activities as assigned.
Required Qualifications Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program in Business, Finance, Law, Public Policy, Risk Management, Economics, or a related field.
Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team.
Demonstrated initiative, curiosity, and willingness to learn.
Preferred Qualifications Strong interest in compliance, governance, regulatory affairs, risk management, or financial services.
Previous internship, co-op, volunteer, or academic project experience involving research, analysis, or business processes.
Experience reviewing, analyzing, or interpreting complex information and communicating findings effectively.
Interest in business process improvement and technology-enabled solutions.

Salary Salary range is expected to be between: $40,950.00 CAD - $60,450.00 CAD The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography, and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training. The annual salary will be pro-rated based on the length of the work term.
