Job Description
In accordance with the Vision, Purpose, and Values, and strategic direction of the Vancouver Island Health Authority (Island Health) patient and staff safety is a priority and a responsibility shared by everyone; as such, the requirement to continuously improve quality and safety is inherent in all aspects of this position.
Reporting to the Manager or designate, and working in a computerized workplace, the Charge Aide,



Sterile Supply Processing, cleans, decontaminates, assembles, wraps, sterilizes and distributes complex and specialized instruments, supplies, linen and equipment related to operative procedures; provides work direction and supervises assigned Sterile Supply Processing staff; maintains records, summarizes statistics and performs a variety of administrative and clerical duties.
QUALIFICATIONS: Education, Training And Experience Grade 12, plus successful completion of a Sterile Supply Processing course and two (2) years' recent related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Skills And Abilities Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Deal with others effectively.
Physically able to carry out the duties of the position.
