Alberta Health Services is seeking a full time Rural Family Medicine Physician focused on Emergency Medicine in Brooks, Alberta. Embrace the opportunity to make a difference in emergency care and community health.

This position involves establishing a rural emergency medicine practice with a commitment of 8-10, twelve-hour shifts monthly. You will work in the Brooks Health Centre, engaging in comprehensive patient care and collaborating with peers in the ZCD of Rural Medicine. Additionally, you may provide low-risk obstetric coverage and participate in quality improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
• Establish a full-time Rural Emergency Medicine practice
• Provide independent low-risk obstetric coverage during night shifts




• Collaborate with the ZCD of Rural Medicine colleagues
• Participate in quality improvement programs and initiatives
• Abide by AHS Medical Staff Bylaws and policies

Requirements:
• Eligible for CPSA licensure as a General Practitioner
• Experience in full-scope general practice
• Independent ER experience in a rural setting
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• CCFP or Diploma in Emergency Care desired
