Monday to Friday – 7 hours/day
Wabasca, Alberta

Bigstone Health Commission is seeking an experienced, highly detailed oriented Executive Assistant with strong administrative and organizational skills to join our talented Health Team. This is a rewarding chance if you have an appreciation for First Nations culture, a desire for continuing professional development and enjoy the support and collaboration from our multidisciplinary team and various other professionals and agencies.

Duties and Responsibilities

Provide administrative support and assistance to the Director of Community Wellness including but not limited to taking minutes, scheduling interviews and meetings, travel arrangements, report planning and other office duties.

Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and computer application)

Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel, Outlook)

Demonstrate ability to perform detailed work accurately and timely, independently, with minimal supervision, and collaboratively as part of a team

Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and adapt to changing situations and conditions

Assist with the development of meeting and communication materials

Participation in internal/ external events

Maintaining absolute confidentiality and discretion is imperative.

Maintain compliance with all policies and procedures

Ability to travel; ability to work outside regular hours when required (weekend/evenings)

Other duties as requested





Qualifications

Post-Secondary Certificate or Diploma in Business Administration, Office Administration, or related fields from a recognized institution or a minimum of two (2) years equivalent experience

Ability to speak Cree is considered an asset

Must have excellent organizational skills

Strong ability to multi-task

Must possess excellent communication skills, both written and oral

Current Certificates in CPR Level C, First Aid, and WHIMIS or willing to take training.

Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
