END DATE JAN 2027) REASON TO POST: DIRECT REPLACEMENT WAGE RATE: $41.15 - $58.98 Reporting to the Manager Surgical Services, the responsibility of the registered nurse is the promotion of health and the assessment of, the provision of care of, and the treatment of health conditions by supportive, preventative, therapeutic, measures to adults and children during phase I and II recovery within the perianesthesia setting in Day Surgery and PACU. Skills/Abilities/Qualifications Required: Ontario College of Nurses registration or eligibility
Minimum 2 years PACU and acute care nursing experience within the past 5 years
Broad surgical experience required in all subspecialties
Successful completion of Post Anaesthetic Course within the last 3 years
Physical Assessment Course or equivalent
Coronary Care Certificate I or equivalent
Current certification in:o BCLSo Venipucture to start an IVo IV meds below the drip chambero PCAo Epidural analgesia
Demonstrated computer skills in MS Outlook and Cerner applications (Powerchart and Surginet) or equivalent
Willingness to cross train and be scheduled in PACU

Preferred Baccalaureate degree in nursing
ACLS
Care of CVP, endotracheal tubes/ventilated extubation of an endotracheal tube
