Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare cost estimates of material, disposal material, labor, and equipmentLiaise with Clients, Consulting Engineers, General Contractors, and SuppliersCoordinate and attend field visits and pre-tender meetingsManage the estimating process, including quantity take-offs, cost of labour, equipment, and materials, and tender preparationOther administrative duties as required
Required Knowledge and ExperienceSolid understanding of drawings and technical specificationsKnowledge of various contract arrangements (e.G., lump sum, unit price, cost ), and document packages (CCDC)Experience in earth moving and excavation or related industryAble to complete tasks and meet deadlines with minimal supervision;
self-starterAbility to work at a quick pace in determining and/or acquiring job bids quickly and accuratelyPost Secondary Education in Civil or Construction Engineering TechnologyMinimum 2 years experience in Estimating
