09 The Team
S&P; Global Ratings' Editorial team comprises approximately 100 professionals worldwide, operating within the Analytical Business Operations and Controls division. The team collaborates with writers, editors, digital content producers, and Ratings analysts across all sectors. This role transforms complex credit research, data, and analytical concepts into clear, accurate, and market-ready digital content in an environment that values collaboration, accountability, sound judgment, and continuous learning.
The Impact and Responsibilities The quality of this work directly supports S&P; Global Ratings' mission to provide transparency and accountability to financial markets. Accurate and clearly presented credit opinions are essential to the organization's reputation as a provider of market intelligence and analytical insight. This role ensures that credit-related research is clear, concise, complete, timely, and relevant for market participants who rely on these insights to make informed decisions.
Responsibilities Edit credit-related research and data, including rating actions, event-driven commentary, and in-depth entity-specific and industry reports, ensuring grammatical accuracy, adherence to house style, and compliance with publishing standards.
Apply digital-first principles - including brevity, plain English, and audience-focused content presentation - to refine key messages, topic sentences, headlines, and article structure.
Use sound editorial judgment to clarify complex financial market concepts while preserving analytical meaning, accuracy, and compliance with applicable standards.
Collaborate with analysts, editors, digital content producers, and other stakeholders to resolve editorial questions, manage competing priorities,



and support timely publication.
Perform production tasks to ensure articles conform to global publishing standards for format, style, and branding specifications.

Compensation and Benefits Information (Canadian Candidates) S&P; Global states that the anticipated range of compensation for this position is $79,500 to $88,000 CAD. Final compensation will be based on the individual's performance, geographic location, experience level, skill set, training, licenses, and certifications. In accordance with Ontario's new regulations effective January 1, 2026, this job posting provides information on expected compensation. What We're Looking For Basic Required Qualifications An S&P; Global employee at this level would typically have 3+ years of relevant experience in editing for financial research or business media.
Demonstrated experience editing digital content for professional, financial, business,



or market-focused audiences.
Sound knowledge of financial markets terminology and concepts.
Solid attention to detail, with the ability to identify inconsistencies, clarify complex information, and ensure content is clear, concise, complete, and accurate.
Demonstrated ability to exercise sound editorial judgment, manage deadlines independently, and make decisions that support quality, accuracy, and market relevance.
Proven ability to work collaboratively in a global, team-oriented environment, with the interpersonal skills to engage effectively with subject matter experts and cross-functional stakeholders.
Additional Preferred Qualifications Experience working with credit research, ratings-related content, financial news, investment research, or other regulated financial market content.
Familiarity with digital publishing workflows, content management systems, search-friendly headline writing, and audience-focused content presentation.
Demonstrated ability to partner with global stakeholders and communicate clearly with subject matter experts, including analysts, researchers, economists, product teams, and publishing colleagues.
Interest in identifying opportunities to improve editorial processes, consistency, quality, and the reader experience.
Education: Bachelor's degree in digital journalism, communications, or a related discipline required.
