Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor/Cleaner to maintain the cleanliness and safety of our shelter. This role is essential in ensuring a hygienic, organized, and welcoming setting for employees, clients, and visitors. The ideal candidate will have experience in various cleaning and custodial tasks, with a focus on maintaining high standards of cleanliness across different settings, including commercial, industrial, and residential spaces.

Responsibilities
Perform general cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal to maintain cleanliness standards.
Conduct specialized cleaning tasks including floor care, buffing, and carpet cleaning to ensure surfaces are well-maintained.
Handle custodial responsibilities in both commercial and residential settings, ensuring all areas are sanitized and organized.




Use appropriate cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and effectively.
Maintain cleaning supplies inventory and ensure proper storage.
Follow health and safety regulations to prevent accidents or hazards within the shelter.

Experience and Requirements
Prior janitorial or custodial experience preferred.
First Aid Training preferred.
Must be able to work weekends and holidays.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
