Working closely within an Indigenous-led primary care team, you'll provide critical therapy for trauma and addiction recovery. Utilizing culturally relevant methodologies, you will develop engaging psychoeducational programs that connect participants to their cultural heritage.
Your holistic approach aims to support individuals' recovery journeys, guiding them through assessments and treatment plans tailored to their unique experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver culturally protected individual and group therapy
Conduct comprehensive assessments to inform treatment
Build therapeutic relationships fostering client trust
Collaborate on interprofessional care strategies
Advocate for clients by connecting them to community resources
Requirements:
Accredited MSW or Counselling Psychology degree
Minimum 3 years of experience in trauma-informed therapy
Understanding of Indigenous cultures and community dynamics
Solid planning and teamwork skills
Proficiency in electronic record management
