JOB DESCRIPTION
Location: Hybrid (Downtown, Toronto)

Duration: 12 months

Our client, a leading financial institution in Downtown Toronto, is looking for a Manager, Marketing Planning toLead End-to-End Marketing Planning and Delivery. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with one of the Top 5 Banks in Canada.

Typical Day in role

Develop integrated marketing plans and campaign strategies that support key business objectives, annual priorities, and sales goals.

Lead the end-to-end planning, development, execution, and optimization of acquisition, engagement, and retention campaigns across mass, digital, and targeted channels.

Translate business objectives, customer insights, market research, and performance data into actionable marketing strategies and benefit-led campaign briefs.

Plan, project manage, and execute customer-driven marketing programs through agile and squad-led methodologies, managing timelines, dependencies, approvals, and delivery milestones.

Coordinate the development and deployment of creative assets across relevant touchpoints, ensuring consistent messaging and a seamless client experience.

Drive Strategic Planning and Performance

Support the development and refinement of annual and quarterly marketing plans and identify opportunities to improve planning agility, marketing effectiveness, and budget deployment.

Monitor consumer sentiment, market conditions, competitive activity, campaign results, and emerging opportunities to inform strategy and optimization.

Apply audience, segmentation, and customer journey insights to strengthen campaign planning, targeting, testing, and performance.

Establish campaign measurement approaches, assess performance against business objectives and KPIs, and share insights and recommendations with partners.

Build strong relationships with business lines, channel teams, analytics, creative, media, delivery, and other marketing partners to drive alignment and successful execution.

Drive effective cross-functional collaboration and execution adhering to the bank’s values and risk culture

Effectively collaborate with multiple stakeholders across channels,



business lines, analytics, marketing, and other key stakeholders to maintain a clear understanding of objectives and drive efficient end-to-end execution.

Contribute to a high-performance, inclusive team environment and demonstrate a commitment to the bank's values of accountability, passion, integrity, and respect.

Influence decision-making and secure participation and buy-in from multiple partners in a highly matrixed environment.

Champion a client-focused culture that deepens client relationships and leverages broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.

Champion Brand, Culture, and Risk Management

Champion proper use of the bank brand in Canada, in compliance with global brand guidelines and the bank's visual identity standards.

Deliver results in accordance to the bank behavioural competencies.

Support day-to-day activities in a manner consistent with the Bank’s risk culture and the relevant risk appetite statement and limits, under the direction of the bank.

Actively pursue efficient operations on their respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to, and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions, and conduct risk all under the direction of the bank’s legal counsel and compliance teams.

Must-Have Skills:

4+ years planning and executing integrated campaigns across mass advertising, digital, and targeted channels, including email and authenticated experiences (strategy, segmentation, performance analysis).

3+ years of experience working with marketing planning, campaign development, personalization, customer segmentation,



data driven marketing campaigns, audience strategy, testing, optimization, and performance measurement.

2+ years of experience with translating marketing requirements into data/technical specifications.

2+ years working with Agile methodology.

Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence across a large, matrixed organization.

Experience applying marketing technologies and AI-enabled tools to improve marketing strategy, insights, execution efficiency, and decision-making.

Nice-To-Have Skills:

Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and complex dependencies.

Comfort working with customer insights, market research, and performance analytics.

Soft Skills Required:

Highly collaborative, detail-oriented, resilient, and results-focused.

Someone who stays current with audience development and engagement best practices, strategies and standards)

Ability to influence and gain buy-in across a highly matrixed workplace.

Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).

Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Demonstrates accountability, integrity, respect, and passion in line with Scotiabank values.

Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities with high attention to detail.

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field

Agile experience or certification
