Job Summary

High School Math/Science Teacher/Tutor Wanted at Oxford Learning Ocean Park. This part‑time role supports students in grades 9–12 with math and science. The position is in‑person, scheduled after‑school, evenings, and some Saturdays.

Responsibilities

- Teach up to three students simultaneously at varying levels.
- Use Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies in all lessons.
- Complete post‑lesson notes and daily student communication updates.
- Maintain a friendly and professional demeanor at all times.

Requirements

Education

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
- Final‑year university students with extensive tutoring experience considered.
- Teaching certification is an asset.
- Solid knowledge of current Grades 9–12 math and science curriculum (Advanced Functions, Algebra, Trigonometry, Calculus, Vectors, Physics, Chemistry, Biology).

Experience

- Teaching/tutoring experience with students aged 14–18.
- Strong written and oral communication skills in English.
- Strong mathematical proficiency and ability to explain concepts.




- Ability to multitask and manage up to three students at a time.

Commitment

Work during after‑school and evening hours (3:00 pm–7:00 pm) Monday–Friday, with some Saturday availability (10:00 am–3:00 pm). A commitment through the end of the June term is preferred; continuing through the summer is an advantage. Reliability is required.

Location & Eligibility

The role is in‑person at Oxford Learning Ocean Park. Applicants must be able to commute to Surrey, BC, and reside within a short distance of the Ocean Park area. Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory.

Compensation & Schedule

- Job type: Part‑time
- Pay: $18–$20 per hour
- Schedule: Evenings, Monday to Friday, Saturday availability
