Join the Town of Fort Smith as the Coordinator for Protective Services, where you will oversee emergency response and community safety operations. This full time role provides impactful leadership in a vital department.

In this role, you will report directly to the Director of Protective Services and function as Deputy Chief. Your responsibilities encompass training, program development, and compliance monitoring across Fire, EMS, and Occupational Health & Safety. Make a significant contribution to community safety and emergency preparedness.

Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate volunteer training and certification tracking
• Assist in Emergency Management Program development
• Supervise activities of the Protective Services department




• Implement Emergency Management training for staff and volunteers
• Support Occupational Health & Safety program administration

Requirements:
• Diploma in Fire and Emergency Services or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
• NFPA 1021 Fire Officer I or similar certification
• Emergency Medical Responder ability
• Knowledge of fire and emergency protocols

Support and enhance community safety programs in Fort Smith through effective leadership and operational management.
