Contribute to groundbreaking therapies as a Biomolecular Interactions Scientist at Amgen in Burnaby, BC. This 12-month contract role focuses on high throughput and custom biophysical screening assays.
In this crucial role, you will work within Amgen's In Vitro Pharmacology group, researching novel therapeutic antibodies. You will lead the development and optimization of screening assays, showcasing your exceptional laboratory skills and scientific curiosity. Collaborating with a team of dedicated scientists, the work you do here directly impacts patient lives by identifying therapeutic candidates.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform affinity and kinetic characterization screenings on various platforms
• Manage instrument upkeep, reagent orders, and troubleshooting tasks
• Summarize and report data using ELN, Screener, and Benchling
Requirements:
• Doctorate degree or relevant Master’s/Bachelor’s with experience
• Hands-on experience with Biacore or KinExA
• Knowledge of protein chemistry and biochemistry fundamentals
• Familiarity with mammalian cell culture and data analysis tools
• Solid analytical mindset and organizational skills
