The Flusher/Vacuum Operator works within the Linear Infrastructure Services Department, operating specialized equipment in the wastewater collection and stormwater systems. Candidates will need to demonstrate proven operational abilities and effectively manage minor teams while ensuring system integrity and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
• Operate mechanical units for effective waste collection
• Immediate reporting of system defects to supervisors
• Supervise daily tasks of three personnel on shifts




• Perform regular preventative maintenance practices
• Follow safety protocols from the City’s Safety Manual

Requirements:
• Secondary School Education completion (Grade XII)
• Minimum of two years operating vactor trucks
• Solid mechanical understanding to prevent equipment damage
• Valid “DZ” driver's licence for work purposes
• Proficiency in reading maintenance documentation
