Primary Responsibilities: Conduct Safety Inspections
Develop and update HSE policies reflecting current regulations and best practices.
Organize and conduct training sessions for employees on safety protocols, emergency procedures and proper use of equipment.
Ensuring compliance of employees before going to the field.
Investigate accidents and incidents to determine their cause and develop strategies to prevent future occurrences.
Conduct risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement measures to mitigate them.
Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incident reports and training sessions.
Work closely with the HSE Director to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
Monitor workplace conditions to ensure they do not pose health risks to employees and that environmental regulations are followed.
Required Skills Certificate,
diploma or certification in Occupational Health and Safety.
Experience in hazard identification & control, emergency response planning, incident investigations and inspections.
Demonstrate positive communication with internal and external clients.
Strong knowledge of Federal and Provincial Occupational Health and Safety Legislation.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook.
Ability to travel to remote project locations as required.
The HSE Coordinator will report directly to HSE Director.
Job Type : Full-Time, Fixed term contract
Contract length : 6 months with a possibility for extension or becoming permanent.
Work location : Head Office, Saskatoon
