Amazon's WW Operations network delivers millions of packages to customers every day. We are looking for motivated, customer-focused individuals to join our team as an Area Manager II at our YYZ1 fulfillment centre in Mississauga, Ontario.

As an Area Manager II, you will lead a team of up to 80 hourly associates and be responsible for engaging your team during shifts to maintain the highest levels of safety, quality, attendance, and performance. You will also play a key role in maintaining customer expectations to ensure orders are delivered at the right time, to the right location.

Key Responsibilities

Support, mentor, and motivate your hourly workforce

Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises

Collaborate with support teams including Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, and Human Resources to develop plans to meet business objectives

Conduct planning sessions and coach team through operational challenges while developing leadership capabilities

Diagnose root causes of performance gaps using advanced analytics

Facilitate alignment meetings with senior leadership on department-level goals

Drive process improvements impacting 200+ associates across multiple workflows

Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach

Stand/walk for up to 12 hours during shifts





Work in an environment where the noise level varies and can be loud

Work in an environment subject to variable temperatures and weather

Basic Qualifications

2+ years of employee and performance management experience

Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience

Ability to work a adaptable schedule including weekends, nights, and/or holidays

Preferred Qualifications

1+ years of performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques experience

Experience in the management of large teams (50+ members)

Experience with process improvements (Lean Six Sigma and/or Kaizen)

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain/Logistics, or a related field

Experience in shipping/logistics, distribution centres, manufacturing, hospitality, healthcare, retail, or customer-service environments

Compensation & Benefits
Base salary range: $75,000 – $105,000 CAD annually. Total compensation may include sign-on payments and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). Benefits include comprehensive health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, basic life and AD&D;), RRSP, DPSP, paid time off, and health and well-being resources.
