Make an impact at the University of New Brunswick as an Instrumentation Technician in Fredericton. This full-time role focuses on ensuring the continued safe operation of essential heating systems on campus.
Reporting to the Director of Energy and Sustainability, you will maintain and manage all instrumentation and controls at the Central Heating Plant. Key duties include troubleshooting control system hardware, maintaining the data historian server, and ensuring the calibration of environmental monitoring equipment. Your experience and problem-solving skills in a demanding industrial setting will be essential.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain and repair boiler control system hardware and software
• Ensure calibration and data integrity of equipment
• Document and commission field instrumentation
• Participate in project-related activities and repairs
• Develop estimates for labor and equipment needs
Requirements:
• Journeyperson Industrial Instrument Mechanic certification required
• Minimum of 6 years in high-pressure steam operations
• Proficient with technical documentation and computer applications
• Effective communication with diverse professionals
• Must uphold safety practices in confined spaces
