In this role, you will be an Independent Contractor with Schlegel Villages, aligning with our ethos of holistic care. Candidates must have a degree in Horticulture Therapy or equivalent and completed the necessary internship hours. Your experience and understanding of therapy practices will support a compassionate, enriching environment for our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver hands-on horticultural activities for residents
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for tailored care
• Encourage participation in recreation programs
• Build supportive relationships with residents and families
• Implement resident-centered care plans
Requirements:
• Degree in Horticulture Therapy or related field
• 480 hours internship completed
• Membership in Canadian Horticulture Therapy Association is an asset
• Previous experience with elderly populations preferred
• Strong understanding of care methods and legislation
