Job Summary As Patagonia Store Manager you are responsible for all aspects of store operations, including sales performance, guest experience, people leadership, financial management, inventory control, visual merchandising, community engagement, environmental activism programming, and talent development.
You will serve as both a business leader and brand ambassador for both Patagonia and Vail Resorts, ensuring the store remains a hub for outdoor passion, environmental stewardship, authentic community connection, and a best‑in‑class retail experience.

Job Specifications Starting Wage: $70,304.00 - $83,283.00 + annual bonus

Job Responsibilities YOU ARE AN ENVIRONMENTAL ACTIVIST You inspire and facilitate staff conversation, innovation, and education about environmental issues.
By hosting events, marketing tools, and elevating campaigns, you connect your community to key environmental and social issues.
You engage, elevate and partner with grassroots nonprofit organizations through retail grants and other partnerships, including events, product donations and activism activities.
You operate an environmentally responsible business by recycling, conserving energy and using alternative modes of transportation.
YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS NOT BOUND BY CONVENTION You instill in your employees the importance of customer service and that the retail experience is where the brand comes to life.
You train and empower staff to make decisions aligned with Patagonia’s values and act generously in all customer matters.
You foster a seamless customer experience by making every effort to find merchandise across Patagonia’s sales channels.
YOU ARE STRATEGIC AND BUSINESS‑MINDED You have a keen eye for the look and feel of your store and know that powerful visual merchandising, consistent attention to standards, store cleanliness and maintenance all support a strong business.

Job Requirements Proven customer service experience with the ability to thrive in a collaborative, team‑oriented environment.
Passion for building strong communities, protecting the environment, and serving and supporting others
Proven ability to lead effectively in dynamic, quick-paced environments, adapt to changing circumstances, exercise sound judgment, and develop creative solutions to challenges
History of building and maintaining relationships with ease and desires to put the customer at the center of everything they do
Experience managing a team of people and a passion for growing and developing employees.
Demonstrates highly developed emotional intelligence.
Interest and aptitude for strategic business planning and developing thoughtful, effective strategies that drive business success.
High School Diploma or GED Equivalent; Business area training or education preferred
1-3 years of retail supervisor experience; ski industry preferred.
Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment, multitask and manage multiple customers
Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, holidays, and weekends
Must be able to communicate fluently in English
