Online Tutor – Cosmo 1:1

Cosmo 1:1 connects K‑12 students with tutors from top universities for personalized lessons. As a tutor you will provide 50‑minute one‑on‑one instruction in math, ELA, or SAT prep while building a welcoming and fun learning environment.

Responsibilities

- Provide personalized 1‑on‑1 instruction for students.
- Update availability in the Cosmo app in a timely manner.
- Prepare lesson materials appropriate to student age and ability.
- Submit class feedback after each lesson.
- Communicate professionally with parents, students, and Cosmo staff.
- Attend all classes on time in a qualified setting.
- Maintain a reliable, private quiet location and internet connection.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree.
- 3+ years teaching K‑12 in math, ELA, or SAT prep.
- Experience with K‑12 ELA/Math standards.




- Teaching license preferred but not required.
- Fast internet, Windows or Mac PC with minimum 6000 CPU.
- Current U.S. or Canada location.
- Available 6‑9 AM EST or 3‑10 PM EST, Monday‑Friday or weekends.
- Minimum 20 hours per week, 6‑month commitment.
- Passion for helping students learn; approachable, patient, adaptive, considerate, enthusiastic, reliable.

Compensation

Base rate $20 CAD plus additional incentives and bonuses.

Location

Surrey, British Columbia, Canada (fully remote).
