GeoSpectrum is growing and has a new career opportunity for an experienced QA Engineer!

Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, the Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist plays a key role in ensuring the company consistently delivers high-quality outcomes for its customers, employees, and regulators. Combining both proactive quality assurance and reactive quality control practices, this role works collaboratively with employees across all departments to promote compliance, identify improvement opportunities, and support a culture of continuous improvement.

As an agile member of the QA team, the QA Specialist contributes to a variety of initiatives, including product verification inspections, process development, and program and project support. This role offers the opportunity to work across multiple areas of the business while helping to uphold and enhance quality standards throughout the organization.

Location: Dartmouth, Nova Scotia

Workplace: Onsite

Responsibilities

Perform quality inspections on sub-assemblies, products, and systems.

Work with program and project teams to conduct elements of their quality planning.

Attend program and project kick-offs, reviews, and readiness gates to ensure customer requirements are accurately captured and met.

Conduct root cause analysis of issues found by nonconformance reports, process audits, and corrective / preventative actions.

Support the development, review, and control of quality management system documentation.





Audit internal procedures and provide feedback to management about risks and opportunities for improvement.

Analyze and improve systems, processes, procedures, or products by eliminating or minimizing non-value-adding activities

Contribute to continuous improvement projects as a leader, stakeholder, or mentor.

Promote and maintain all aspects of our ISO 9001 certified quality management system.

Other QA responsibilities assigned by management.

Additional Responsibilities

Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.

Participate in organizational occupational health and safety education, prevention, promotion, and reporting.

Establish a personal professional development plan and attend all required company training.

Qualifications

Post Secondary Education in Quality Management, Engineering, Technology or other related field.

5+ years of experience in a quality role.

Certification or experience working with LEAN, 5S, and ISO 9001:2015.

Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.

Proficient at data collection, analysis, and presentation.

Advanced computer literacy for process documentation.

Occupational Health and Safety and WHMIS certification, an asset.

Ability to obtain/maintain Canadian Government Security (Reliability) Clearance and Canadian Controlled Goods clearance.
