The Office of the Auditor General is looking for co-op students for up to two positions in this eight-month temporary role. As part of the Financial Audit team, your work will ensure that financial statements are accurate and compliant with Canadian standards. Collaborate with Engagement Managers and Senior Auditors to assist ministries and organizations throughout the province.
Key Responsibilities:
• Participate in financial statement audits and analysis
• Collaborate with financial managers and program staff
• Conduct auditing tasks under senior supervision
• Engage in reporting and audit planning activities
• Contribute to two different audit projects during tenure
Requirements:
• Pursuing an undergraduate degree in related field
• Minimum 65% GPA in accounting courses
• General work experience in client-focused environments
• Ability to work effectively in teams and meet deadlines
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
