Work LocationRemote - AlbertaAbout the RoleThe District Loss Prevention Manager is responsible for investigating preventable loss in our retail stores and carries out store audit procedures. The ideal candidate is highly reliable, demonstrates ethical and safe work practices, has a high level of discretion and is passionate about loss prevention initiatives. The successful candidate must also be available to travel locally and work flexible hours to accommodate hours of operation for stores.ResponsibilitiesResponsible for conducting all investigations within an assigned districtPrevents inventory loss through communication and participation with all store staff members in programs aimed at theft awareness and prevention measuresAudits store security procedures such as cycle counts, reporting etc.Detects and processes individuals engaged in-store theft and fraudulent activities including completing investigation and related reports with police agencies and the criminal justice systemConducts initial investigation of internal matters (ex. cash over/short reports, etc.)Responds to all emergency situationsProvides direction in merchandise protection standards and conducts awareness trainingKey contact for their group of stores for camera system installs and maintenanceWorks directly with armoured car service on troubleshooting and evaluation of store needsWorks directly with alarm companies on setup and ongoing maintenance issuesInterviews suspects and witnesses and prepares in-depth reports on all investigationsTestifies in a variety of hearings and court actionsOther related tasks as requiredQualificationsDiploma or Certificate in Security/Police Studies or related field (preferred, not required)Valid Alberta Security License required (before start date)Post-secondary education or equivalent (preferred, not required)ProServe CertificationValid First Aid and CPR certification is preferredPressure Points Control Tactics (PPCT)



will be considered an assetKnowledge of WHIMIS is preferredKnowledge of surveillance and apprehension techniquesInterview and interrogation training will be considered an assetMinimum, 2 – 5 years’ loss prevention experienceMinimum, 2 – 5 years’ management experiencePrevious retail experience will be considered an assetOther Skills and CapabilitiesUnquestionable ethics and integrity with an ability to maintain high levels of confidentialityPositive and professional approach with willingness to learn and be challengedAbility to work effectively in a collaborative, team environment as well as independentlyExhibit strong leadership skills with the ability to make appropriate decisions in stressful situationsAbility to demonstrate situational awareness and safe work practicesExcellent active listening, communication (written and verbal) and dispute resolution skillsDemonstrate initiative and ability to recognize opportunities for improvement and efficiencyHighly organized with the ability to direct and prioritize tasks as appropriateProven ability to maintain workload and meet critical deadlines in a fast-paced environmentStrong problem identification and problem resolution skillsAbility to be flexible, in keeping with the needs of our evolving companyMust be willing and able to work irregular hours, including weekends and occasional overnights to support the retail storesProficient in Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, Teams, Project and OutlookExcellent interpersonal skills,
