Strategic, one of British Columbia's largest natural resource consultants, is seeking an experienced Senior Planning Forester. In this position, you will engage with a team to lead initiatives like the Forest Landscape Planning Pilots, focusing on biodiversity and Indigenous knowledge integration. Your expertise will guide various aspects of forest management planning, addressing challenges like climate change vulnerability and wildfire risk.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead forest management planning initiatives with diverse stakeholders • Manage projects related to ecosystem restoration and Indigenous practices • Analyze timber availability and sustainable practices • Facilitate communication between clients, staff, and agencies • Ensure compliance with BC forestry regulations and policies
Requirements: • Minimum 5 years of experience in forest planning • Registered Professional with Forest Professionals BC • Strong communication and leadership skills • Extensive knowledge of forestry regulations and operations • Valid BC driver’s license and safe driving record
