Job Description and Responsibilities
Interpro has multiple openings for Production Workers/General Labourers at our facility in Red Deer. This entry-level role involves working on various production lines in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment. Production workers/labourers are expected to follow safety rules, complete work tasks according to standard operating procedures, and perform physical labor throughout their shifts. The positions require employees to work 12-hour shifts with varying start times. As an entry-level role, successful candidates will have the prospect to bid on other positions within the plant according to the collective agreement as they become available.

Comply with all safety rules and procedures

Operate equipment to manufacture steel pipe

Use various hand and power tools, gas torches, and measuring devices

Visually inspect the product produced at the station

Cleaning of the work area

Computer data entry

General labour duties

Requirements

Minimum: High school diploma required

Commitment to safety rules, wear full protective personal equipment

No experience necessary, but previous work experience in a manufacturing and/or production environment will be considered an asset

Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including standing, walking, sitting, climbing, crawling, kneeling, bending, moderate to heavy lifting,



pushing, and pulling up to 50 pounds throughout the shift

Mechanically inclined, with the ability to follow instructions

Communication and teamwork skills

Willing to work 12-hour day & night shifts. These are rotational shifts

Reliable transportation, work location is outside of public transit

You must pass a drug, alcohol & physical test

You must pass a criminal record check

Compensation
$29.84/hr

5% Increase in pay after 9 months
