Meridian is currently seeking a skilled and motivated full-time Apprentice Carpenter to join our team for an exciting project in Delta, BC. Who We Are

As an Apprentice Carpenter, you will work alongside experienced carpenters and site supervisors to support the successful construction of a multi-unit wood-frame hotel project. You will gain valuable hands‑on experience while assisting with a variety of carpentry and construction tasks. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: Assisting with wood-frame construction including walls, floors, roofs, backing, and structural components Assisting with layout, framing, and installation of walls, ceilings, blocking, bulkheads, and backing Assisting with wood framing quality control to ensure work is completed accurately and to project requirements Installation of doors, windows, hardware, millwork, and finishing carpentry components Assisting with installation of handrails, guardrails,



and other architectural details Material handling, site preparation, and maintaining organized work areas Safely operating hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment Ensuring work is completed in compliance with safety regulations and company standards Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment How You Will Succeed

Previous carpentry or construction experience is considered an asset Enrolled in or interested in pursuing a Carpentry Apprenticeship Experience on multi-family residential, hotel, and/or commercial construction projects is considered an asset Basic understanding of wood-frame construction practices Ability to read and interpret construction drawings is considered an asset Experience safely operating hand and power tools Strong work ethic and attention to detail Positive communication and teamwork skills Ability to work safely in a fast‑paced environment Willingness to work overtime when required Steel-toed boots, tool belt, and basic carpenter hand and power tools WHMIS and Fall Protection certifications pre‑?) Additional safety certifications and equipment operator tickets are considered an asset
