About the Role The Timmins Chamber islooking for a Program Coordinator to help connect students, schools andbusinesses while supporting initiatives that strengthen our future workforce,under the Workplace Experience Learning Collaborative (WELC) initiative.
This is a greatopportunity for someone early in their career who wants hands-on experience inbusiness, education, communications, workforce development and communityengagement. You don't need to know everything on day one—we're looking forsomeone who is organized, curious, personable, and eager to learn.
What You'll Do Communication & Engagement Buildrelationships with leaders at businesses, high schools, and post-secondaryinstitutions.
Help promoteand coordinate student experiential learning, and placement opportunities.
Connectemployers with workforce, training, and employment resources.
Supportprogram communications, including email, website, and social media contentcreation.
Event & Program Logistics Help organizeand deliver Chamber workshops, information sessions, and workforce events.
Coordinatewith speakers, businesses, schools, and community partners.
Support eventlogistics, communications, and follow-up.
Gatherfeedback to improve future programming.
Support theChamber's Workforce Task Force and related activities.
Research, Administration & Reporting Researchworkforce topics and gather feedback from businesses, students, andcommunity partners.
Identifyworkforce challenges, talent shortages, and emerging needs.
Track projectactivities, deadlines, and key outcomes.
Track participation,opportunities and feedback, and maintain CRM records.
Prepareupdates and reports for project partners.

Are a recentgraduate or early-career professional looking to build practicalexperience.
Are organizedand able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Enjoy meetingpeople and building professional relationships.
Communicateclearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing.
Arecomfortable with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook andPowerPoint.
Are curious,resourceful, and willing to learn.
Can workindependently while knowing when to ask for support.
Have aninterest in business, education, workforce, or community development.
Valueinclusive and welcoming workplaces.
You don't needexperience in every area listed above. Co-op placements, internships, volunteer experience, part-time work,and community involvement are all valuable and will be considered.
Required Availabilityto work in office Monday to Friday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.
Flexibilityto travel throughout the northeast (some evenings and weekends may be required).
Access toa reliable vehicle (we reimburse mileage).
Assets (Not Required) French andEnglish bilingualism.
Experiencewith schools, students, employers, or community organizations.
Experiencewith event planning, communications, or social media.
Familiaritywith workforce development, employment services, or experiential learning.
What You'll Gain This role provides anopportunity to build your skilled network, develop project and eventmanagement skills, work directly with businesses and community partners, andgain hands-on experience supporting the future workforce of Timmins.
Duration: 1 year (withpotential for extension based on funding and performance).
Compensation: Annualsalary of $55,000. (35 hours per week).
