Become a Wastewater Collections Locator with the City of Belleville, Ontario. This temporary full time position involves monitoring wastewater systems and providing essential locate services.

Reporting to supervisors in the Environmental Services Department, this role focuses on safely operating a Level 3 Wastewater Collection System. Candidates will utilize experience in infrastructure locating, leak detection, and maintenance while participating in an on-call schedule for emergencies. Key responsibilities include accurately marking underground infrastructure, maintaining records, and collaborating with contractors and homeowners.

Key Responsibilities:
• Operate and monitor wastewater collection systems
• Provide municipal infrastructure locates as per regulations




• Perform leak detection and sanitary inspections
• Maintain accurate records for locates
• Participate in storm/wastewater system cleaning and repairs

Requirements:
• Two-year post-secondary program in Civil or Construction Engineering
• Valid Wastewater Collection Class 2 License
• Three years’ experience in Large Municipal Wastewater Systems
• Valid Class DZ Driver’s license
• Current Criminal Record Check
