Shape young minds as a Registered Early Childhood Educator in the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board. This 10-month regular position emphasizes high-quality, play-based education for Junior and Senior Kindergarten students.
Working directly under the Principal, you will collaborate with classroom teachers to foster children's cognitive, emotional, and social growth through structured play. This role also includes leading after-school programs, allowing for a meaningful educational experience. Engage with a diverse range of students in an inclusive setting dedicated to personal and academic development.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver high-quality play-based education in classrooms
• Manage before and after-school learning programs
• Assist in daily classroom activities with students
• Employ good communication skills with parents and staff
• Model positive relationships and discipline
Requirements:
• Completed Early Childhood Education community college program
• Good standing with Ontario College of Early Childhood Educators
• At least one year of relevant childcare experience
• Current First Aid and CPR certification
• Recent Vulnerable Sector Police Check for new hires
