Coast Mental Health is seeking a Casual Community Mental Health Worker to support individuals with mental health challenges. Engage in meaningful advocacy within diverse residential settings and programs.

Reporting to the Program Manager, you’ll oversee the implementation of psychosocial rehabilitation practices in daily operations. Your role will focus on enhancing participant safety and welfare while facilitating social, recreational, and volunteer programs. Availability will be based on operational requirements and shift availability.

Key Responsibilities:
• Implement daily support and advocacy services
• Monitor and ensure participant safety and welfare
• Develop and lead social and recreational activities




• Provide intervention using crisis de-escalation skills
• Liaise with community resources for effective client support

Requirements:
• Diploma in Community Social Service or relevant qualifications
• Two years of recent work experience in a similar role
• First Aid + CPR and WHMIS certifications
• Ministry of Justice Criminal Record Clearance
• Understanding of trauma-informed care and harm reduction
