PROJECT MANAGER – ICI / INSTITUTIONAL CONSTRUCTION

$130,000 – $160,000 + Benefits | Full time

Our client, an established General Contractor and Construction Management firm, is looking to add an experienced Project Manager to its growing construction team.

The successful candidate will have a strong background managing institutional and commercial construction projects and will be capable of taking projects from preconstruction and procurement through construction, closeout and turnover.

Responsibilities

- Manage ICI construction projects from preconstruction through completion
- Develop and maintain budgets, schedules, procurement plans and cost forecasts
- Coordinate subcontractors, consultants, architects, engineers and clients
- Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, contracts and project documentation
- Lead subcontractor procurement, scope reviews, negotiations and buyout
- Monitor project costs, schedules, risks and overall progress
- Lead project meetings and provide regular reporting to senior management and clients
- Work closely with site teams to resolve construction issues




- Oversee project closeout, deficiencies, commissioning and turnover

Qualifications

- 5+ years of Project Management experience within ICI construction
- Strong institutional construction experience
- Experience with projects such as municipal facilities, schools, healthcare, recreation/community facilities, government or other public-sector construction
- General Contractor or Construction Management experience strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of construction contracts, drawings, specifications, procurement, scheduling and cost control
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills
- Construction Management, Engineering or related education is an asset
