Horizon Health Network in beautiful Current Brunswick is looking for a Director, Facilities, Engineering and Property Management to join our team!

Horizon Health Network (Horizon) is seeking a strategic, innovative, and accomplished individual to join our team as a Director, Facilities, Engineering and Property Management. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience leading complex facilities operations, capital infrastructure projects, engineering services, and property management functions within a large, multi-site organization, preferably in a healthcare environment.

Who you are

You have worked in a senior facilities management, engineering, infrastructure, property management, construction, or healthcare operations leadership role for a minimum of 10 years, including progressive leadership experience in a complex and highly regulated environment.

You have experience in:

- Strategic planning and operational leadership of facilities, engineering, and property management services
- Capital planning, infrastructure renewal, construction, and renovation project management
- Financial stewardship, budget development, and resource allocation
- Regulatory compliance, accreditation readiness, and risk management
- Demonstrated experience applying and interpreting building codes, healthcare facility standards, construction procurement practices, inspection requirements, and quality assurance/testing requirements.
- Experience managing professional and/or unionized staff and a strong understanding of healthcare building systems and infrastructure.
- Emergency preparedness, business continuity, and response planning
- Contract administration, procurement processes, and vendor management
- Leading multidisciplinary teams and fostering a culture of engagement, accountability,



and continuous improvement
- Supporting Implementing sustainability initiatives and energy management strategies

You have an advanced proficiency level in Microsoft Office applications and experience utilizing facility management technologies, computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), building automation systems (BAS/BMS), and related data analytics tools.

Education

- Bachelor's degree or diploma in a related field such as Facilities Management, Engineering Technology, Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- A minimum of seven (7) years of related work experience, including commercial and institutional construction and project management experience. Experience managing healthcare facility construction, capital projects, maintenance and operations is preferred.

What you will do

Reporting to the Regional Director, Facilities, Engineering and Property Management, the Director is accountable for the strategic leadership, management, and operational oversight of facilities, engineering, and property management services within their assigned portfolio.

Key responsibilities include:

- Providing leadership and direction for facilities operations, engineering services, maintenance programs, and property management activities.
- Developing and implementing strategic plans that support organizational priorities, capital development, and infrastructure sustainability.
- Leading the planning, execution, and oversight of capital construction, renovation, and infrastructure renewal projects.
- Ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, environmental requirements, building codes, and occupational health and safety legislation.
- Managing departmental budgets and resources while ensuring efficient, effective, and fiscally responsible operations.
- Overseeing preventive maintenance programs and ensuring the reliability of critical building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, life safety, and emergency power systems.
- Supporting emergency preparedness activities and organizational response during facility-related incidents and critical events.
- Overseeing and support of implementing opportunities for energy conservation,



sustainability, and operational optimization.
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with contractors, consultants, vendors, government agencies, and other key stakeholders.
- Providing leadership, mentorship, and performance management to a multidisciplinary team while fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborating with clinical, operational, and administrative leaders to support safe, efficient, and patient-centered healthcare environments.
- Supporting organizational transformation initiatives through innovative facility management practices and strategic infrastructure planning.
