Help transform lives as a Nighttime Outreach Support Worker with Main Street Project. This role focuses on community engagement through the Van Outreach program, providing vital support during night hours.
You will work closely with vulnerable populations in Winnipeg, ensuring their immediate needs for food and shelter are met while advocating for their health and safety. This outreach position demands collaboration, patience, and a commitment to harm reduction strategies. Your contribution will be critical in linking those in need with necessary services, fostering independence and dignity.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide immediate support through food and clothing distributions
• Drive and manage the outreach vans
• Assess and respond to emergency health situations
• Assist individuals in accessing essential resources
• Maintain accurate documentation of services provided
Requirements:
• Experience in outreach or related human services
• Clean driver's license and record
• Current CPR and First Aid certifications
• Robust communication and crisis management skills
• Familiarity with Indigenous communities and cultures
