School District No.48 is seeking On-Call Bus Drivers to provide safe transportation for students. Bring your Class 2 BC Driver's License and First Aid certification to this crucial role.
In this on-call capacity, you will operate school buses under the guidance of the Transportation & Grounds Supervisor. This position requires individuals with practical driving experience and the ability to maintain safety protocols and respond in emergencies. You will work directly to ensure students reach their academic and extracurricular destinations safely.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise and safely transport students to schools
• Operate buses for additional activities as scheduled
• Conduct safety checks on bus equipment
• Respond to emergencies using First Aid skills
• Comply with WHMIS and Worksafe BC guidelines
Requirements:
• Grade 11 completion is mandatory
• Driving experience of six months to one year
• Valid Class 2 BC Driver's License with air endorsement
• First Aid Certificate or equivalent needed
• Propane Filling Ticket and safety knowledge
