Serve as the primary functional lead and business representative for the Water & Wastewater IBM Maximo platform
Provide functional leadership and governance over divisional work management, asset management, maintenance planning, and asset information processes
Own divisional requirements, enhancement requests, and system improvement roadmaps
Establish business rules, standards, and governance practices for work management, asset information, and Maximo utilization
Evaluate business needs, operational challenges, and emerging requirements and develop recommendations
Participate in process reviews, workshops, and requirements gathering with operational, engineering, maintenance, and corporate stakeholders
Translate operational requirements into functional specifications and business requirements
Evaluate solution alternatives and recommend approaches that maximize business value while minimizing complexity, risk, and sustainment impacts
Participate in governance and design reviews to align solutions with business objectives and requirements
Review and validate Maximo configurations, workflows, and functional designs
Assess vendor recommendations for alignment with approved processes, standards, and operational requirements
Coordinate divisional participation in design, configuration, testing, training, deployment, and sustainment
Lead User Acceptance Testing activities and recommend solution readiness, business acceptance, and production deployment
Support implementation planning, organizational readiness, change management, and user adoption
Lead asset data governance initiatives, including data standards, quality requirements, naming conventions, classification standards, and business rules
Improve reporting, analytics, performance measurement, and decision-support capabilities with divisional and corporate stakeholders
Monitor system utilization, business adoption, process performance, and user feedback
Support divisional Maximo roadmaps, continuous improvement initiatives, and future technology enhancements
Prepare and present recommendations, briefing materials, business cases, reports,



and presentations for management and governance committees
Provide coaching, mentorship, and knowledge transfer on work management processes, asset information standards, and Maximo best practices
Report to the Manager, Asset Management and Strategic Asset Planning and work closely with the Water & Wastewater Maximo Expert
Requirements A satisfactory Level 1 Criminal Record Check obtained directly from a police station (third-party background checks will not be accepted)
University degree or college diploma in Civil, Chemical or Environmental Engineering, Asset Management, Information Technology, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline
Minimum five (5) years of progressively responsible experience supporting Enterprise Asset Management (EAM), Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), asset management programs, operational technology solutions, or related business improvement initiatives
Experience supporting system implementation, upgrade, or business transformation initiatives
Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into functional solutions
Experience working directly with operational stakeholders and technical teams
Experience supporting organizational change and user adoption initiatives
Experience within municipal infrastructure, regulated utility environments, Water & Wastewater operations, transportation, energy, or other asset-intensive industries is considered an asset
Experience with IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS) or IBM Maximo Asset Management is highly desirable
Professional certifications such as CAMP, PMP, CBAP, Prosci, P.Eng., or equivalent are considered assets




Ability to convey complex ideas and concepts through extensive and tactful discussions and negotiations with technical and non-technical audiences
Advanced verbal communication skills to act as a project lead and facilitate discussions with stakeholders and management
Strong presentation and facilitation skills, including presenting to Regional Council and external groups
Demonstrated ability to lead high-impact initiatives and manage change
Advanced systems thinking, conceptual and creative problem-solving abilities
Ability to analyze, synthesize, and clarify complex ideas and material into clear plain language
Robust analytical skills for trend and gap analysis and issue identification
Strong time management and organizational skills to oversee multiple complex projects concurrently
Adaptability in an environment with changing priorities, short timelines, and limited resources

Off-site work location must be within the province of Ontario
