Join Pacific Coast Children’s Resources as a Child Youth Worker and make a difference in young people's lives. Support their journey towards independence while ensuring their safety and well-being.
In this role, you will collaborate with a team to provide care for youth living in staffed homes. A strong foundation in community social services, especially working with those facing mental health challenges, is crucial. You'll advocate for children's rights, participate in care planning, and foster relationships within the community.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure advocacy for youth rights and choices
• Engage effectively with supported children
• Develop and document Personal Service Plans
• Aid in daily living tasks and health management
• Promote a clean and safe living environment
Requirements:
• Grade 12 and Child Youth Care Diploma or equivalent
• 2 years experience in community social services
• Understanding of trauma-informed practices
• Current First Aid/CPR and Food Safe certifications
• Explicit Criminal record check for vulnerable individuals
