Introduction
Robertson is seeking a skilled Business Development Representative to join our client in support of an existing vacancy.

Employment Type: Full‑Time, Permanent

Base Salary: $50,000–$80,000 (Uncapped Commission - Medical, Dental, and Vision Benefits, Performance‑based rewards and incentives and Strong long‑term earning potential)

Location: Vancouver, BC

Location Type: Hybrid (First 2–3 months: 4 days onsite After onboarding and ramp‑up: 2 days onsite)

Business Hours: Monday‑Friday, Core business hours

Job Responsibilities

Generate new business opportunities through prospecting, cold calling, networking, client meetings, and industry events

Identify, develop, and convert new client relationships within target markets

Build and execute strategic territory and business development plans

Manage and grow client accounts while identifying opportunities for expansion

Partner closely with recruitment teams to ensure successful delivery and client satisfaction

Build relationships with executives, directors, and senior decision‑makers

Monitor market trends, industry developments, and competitive activity to identify new growth opportunities

Maintain accurate sales activity, account updates,



and pipeline reporting

Serve as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for assigned clients

Experience & Qualification Requirements

5+ years of staffing industry experience and are looking to transition into business development or sales

6 months to 2 years of experience in business development, account management, or sales within the staffing industry

A proven track record of opening new accounts and generating measurable revenue growth

Recognition for performance achievements such as President's Club, Top Performer awards, or similar accomplishments

A strong network and established relationships within enterprise organizations or target industries

Experience in the staffing and recruitment industry is required

Proven success in business development, client acquisition, and revenue generation

Experience in staffing sectors such as IT, Engineering, Construction, Manufacturing, Energy, or Professional Services

Ability to confidently engage with VP‑level and executive stakeholders

Strong relationship‑building and account management skills

Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets

Comfortable prospecting, cold calling, and developing new business opportunities

Professional, polished communication and presentation skills

Self‑motivated, results‑driven, and highly accountable
